Amy Tittle Professional Development Scholarship
Professional Growth
Congratulations to Lauren Brentlinger, Raytown South High School Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, for receiving this year's scholarship.
Through her coursework for an Education Specialist Degree in Principalship, she has learned the value of peer collaboration, "every teacher brought different viewpoints" and that the collaboration allowed her to better "understand why a colleague may have different views as I do on the topic." Lauren's essay reveals her passion for teaching, her dedication "to be the best educator I can be for our students in the Raytown Quality Schools District," and her youthful energy. By July 2019, she will have completed three degrees in six years of teaching.
The Amy Tittle Professional Development Scholarship provides financial assistance for Raytown Quality Schools staff members continuing their education. This competitive scholarship is awarded annually to a staff member who best describes how knowledge and skills acquired through continuing education will benefit students.
